ROLESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Location: Wake County Public Schools, NC
Budget: $67 million
Size: 349,527 sf
Year Completed: 2013

This four story school is a new modern prototype for Wake County with a capacity of over 2,200 students.  The efficient floor plan offers central collaborative space and as well as intimate team learning space.  The building is clad with a blend of brick, glass and metal panel that maximizes natural light and creates an aesthetic appeal.

The building is framed with structural steel with long span joists exposed to view in the auditorium and gymnasium spaces.  The subgrade was improved with rammed aggregate piers to allow for cost effective spread footing foundations.  The project included a football stadium and field house.
